Nursing Home Abuse and Neglect

Many families are faced with the difficult decision - whether or not to place a loved one in a nursing home or assisted living facility. With aging comes a multitude of health issues such as heart disease, kidney disease, blindness and Alzheimer's disease, all of which cause complications and require medical attention that many families cannot handle alone. Making the choice to entrust a loved one to a health care facility can be painful, but we trust that these institutions are run by and staffed with professionals who will provide the best possible care. Unfortunately, that is not always the case.

The type of abuse (physical, sexual, financial or psychological abuse, violation of basic rights, or passive or active neglect) dictate the legal strategies necessary to recover compensation for pain, suffering, injuries, and in the worst cases, wrongful death. No case of elder abuse should ever go unreported, and no negligent nursing home should ever get away with mistreating its residents.

A case of nursing home abuse and neglect is traumatic for the victim's loved ones, and it may feel difficult to place your trust in anyone after uncovering such an atrocious crime. That's why we take the time to give our clients the individual attention they deserve in such a time of need.
